Database Development
The database system that we use is MySQL. This is the most common database system in existence, and is a powerful open source/free platform which competes with commercial database systems (Such as MS SQL). Some common web applications using MySQL include Yahoo, Facebook, and Ticketmaster.
DDR Media Services develops and maintains relational databases for use with web technologies and web front-ends. Example applications include our custom content management system, a business directory storing hundreds of businesses in a way to efficiently display them on a map, even user management systems which interface with mass email management software. Some of our applications have up to 300,000 records of data.
Databases are built from the ground up in order to meet customer requirements. DDR-MS communicates with the customer back and forth in order to determine the most efficient data storage method solution. Customers need not know anything technical for the development of the database solution, DDR-MS takes care of the technicalities.
DDR-MS utilizes off-site, internet based servers, as opposed to building custom in-house/intranet servers. Databases are developed to power web applications that we develop.
